User Types in Pneumatic

Guest Users
Guest users are individuals who do not have an account in Pneumatic. There are two types of guest users in Pneumatic:
- Guest Performers. These are guest users who have been invited to specific tasks in a workflow. Guest performers can comment on the task they’ve been invited to and complete it.
- Public Form Workflow Launchers. These are guest users who launch a new workflow in Pneumatic using a public kick-off form. Once they launch a new workflow, they can be invited dynamically to one or several tasks in the process they launched. However, in general, anybody with a link to a public kick-off form can launch a new workflow in Pneumatic.
The main feature guest users share is that they don’t have accounts in Pneumatic. They have limited permissions, but they can still collaborate and contribute to workflows.
Pneumatic Users
Pneumatic users are individuals who have created an account in Pneumatic. There are three types of Pneumatic users:
- Account Owners. These are the users who have full control over their Pneumatic account. They can add and delete other users, as well as log in as other users to see what’s happening in their accounts.
- Admin Users. These users cannot log in as other users, but they can create, edit, and share workflow templates. They can also add other owners to workflow templates, granting them access to edit and share the workflow template as well.
- Non-Admin Users. These users can launch some types of workflows, specifically workflows whose templates they’ve been added to as workflow starters by an admin or the account owner. They can also be assigned tasks and complete them.
All types of users can post comments and mention each other in Pneumatic. This is a powerful collaboration feature that allows users to communicate and keep track of tasks and workflows.
